N5.8bn Approval: Reps Insist Osinbajo Has Questions To Answer

The House of Representatives Committee on Emergency and Disaster Preparedness has insisted that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has some questions to respond to on the approval of N5.8 billion from the Consolidated Revenue Fund to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). Chairman of the committee, Mr Ali Isa, stated this while briefing reporters after Tuesday’s plenary at the National Assembly in Abuja. He explained that the Vice President has a case to answer because he is Chairman of the governing council of NEMA. Isa added that Professor Osinbajo was the Acting President at the time when the fund was approved. He, however, stressed that the Committee did not mention the Vice President in its report presented on Thursday last week. The committee has investigated the allegations of violation of public trust in the activities of the emergency agency. Ex ekiti state governor replies to buhari being called a lifeless man by trump

Out-going governor of Ekiti state,  Ayodele Fayose has reacted to a recent report by Financial Times,  where in,  US president Donald Trump was quoted to have called president Muhammadu Buhari ‘lifeless’ shortly after their meeting last April. The governor says he was wondering when president Buhari will ‘charge undiplomatic Trump’ for hate speech. Fayose in a Twitter post this afternoon said if it were to be him, ‘National Security Supremacy’ would have applied but won’t in this case because Trump isn’t Nigerian. He wrote: Just wondering when President Buhari will charge "undiplomatic Trump" for this international "Hate Speech" because if it were to be Fayose uunnm!! …… Thank God Trump is not a Nigerian…. Atikus followers decamped

About 200,000 members of the Atiku Care Foundation, have dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. The members who decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC, also declared their loyalty to President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2019 re-election bid. Nafdac complains about equiptment

The Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, has expressed her frustration with the agency's lack of functional equipment. The DG made her frustrations known while addressing members of the Senate Committee on Health in Lagos on Monday, November 12, 2018.   She also lamented about how understaffed the agency is and disclosed that it is awaiting the approval of the Head of Service of the Federation to recruit more personnel. Patrick Ukwuenya, chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Okpokwu LGA of Benue State has resigned. DAILY POST gathered that Ukwuenya tendered his resignation letter at the party’s secretariat on Tuesday in Okpoga. In his letter, Ukwuenya simply said the reason behind his decision to dump the party was ‘best known’ to him.He thanked the party for giving him the opportunity to serve and wished them good luck ahead of the general election. Although Ukwuenya has refused to explain the reason behind his sudden resignation, sources within the camp of the APC hinted this reporter that his decision might not be unconnected with his cold war with the state chairman, Comrade Abba Yaro. When contacted, the state Publicity Director of the party, Apeh Peter said, “If he has resigned, then so be it. As a matter of fact, I am just hearing that from you. The Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation, has hit at President Muhammadu Buhari again raising 14 questions for the President and the All Progressives Congress, APC. Annie's kids Annie Idibia, a Nigerian actress and the wife of popular singer 2face Idibia, turned a year older today November 13th and social media users came out in their numbers to celebrate her.
