Davido revealed that he went for service so as to tie up loose ends. This was a smart move on his part seeing as his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, faced a lot of heat over his school certificate. 2. Obasanjo meets David mark and others

The Senate President, David Mark, on Friday, had a closed door meeting with former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, at his Hilltop mansion in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, South West Nigeria. This was part of the ongoing reconciliation moves within the ruling People’s Democratic Party, PDP. After the closed door meeting which lasted for well over two hours, the Senate President, who was accompanied by the Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, said that issues affecting the party and the country topped their discussion. However, he was not forthcoming with the actual details of the meeting. In another development, a leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, also had a private meeting with the former president. The Federal High Court Sitting in Lagos has ordered the final forfeiture of a sum of N7,646,700,000 allegedly belonging to the Former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission linked the offence to a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke. About three weeks ago, the Commission who wanted the money forfeited to the Federal government had told a vacation judge, Justice Chuka Obiozor via an ex parte application that the N7.6bn was part of a sum of $153,310,000 which Mrs Alison-Madueke allegedly siphoned from the coffers of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation sometime in 2014.
